Feed The Valley - Summer Concert Series
During the summer months, Valley First, Enderby & District Financial and Feed the Valley support a number of free community concerts throughout the Okanagan Thompson communities they serve. While admission is free, donations are encouraged. Monetary donations benefit the community Arts Council or Chamber of Commerce organization hosting the event, while donations of non-perishable food items benefit the community food bank through the Feed the Valley initiative. This is an enjoyable summer offering with a feel good component as well as a vital awareness piece. The food and funding are key however the hunger awareness component helps to keep food banks front of mind at the mid-year point and throughout the year rather than just at traditional times of giving.
