Food Marketing secrets that stunned audience to silence...

This video provides real food for thought.

An interesting demonstration of the ‘secret’ marketing tricks used in food labeling. Marketers know we believe the labels, she spoke of ‘the power of willful ignorance’.

This hard hitting video stunned the audience into silence exposing some of the realities of food marketing, specifically in relation to industrially farmed meat. The speaker in this video is actually an actress. And be very clear, this video is also marketing for but the facts about produce and its marketing are real. The audience is also real, along with their reaction to what they are learning.

For the Soil Mate team, it’s no surprise to us, and reinforces the importance of knowing where your food comes from, how it’s produced (raised in this case) and understanding the farmers value system. We don’t advocate never eating meat, what we advocate is understanding where it came from.  Know your farmer, know your food.

The biggest barrier however is convenience. Many of us would like to make better, informed, decisions, but we are all busy people, with busy lives so convenience will always win out. That’s why we created Soil Mate. It is our aim to make sourcing real, convenient information to allow you to make the food decisions that are right for you. No preaching, no pressure, no BS. Just straight up access to information and real, convenient connections.

What do you think, let us know in the comments below.
