Kombucha Mixology! It’s Actually A Thing

Kombucha has got to be one of the most versatile drinks ever. Aside from helping colonize our gut bacteria, it’s used for so many other purposes - salad dressing, face toner, all-purpose spray – to name just a few. And now as this fizzy, boochy brew is becoming more mainstream, food service establishments are deciding to add a bit of spirit kick to this already delicious drink. Restaurants all over the world, including right here in beautiful Kelowna are complimenting kombucha with booze.

Boozy booch?

While it may not have the same healing effects on your gut, it sure tastes delicious. So delicious that we’ve decided to share some of our favourite booze + booch concoctions that are guaranteed to tantalize your taste buds. Drumroll please:

Gin and Booch

1 oz Bombay Sapphire

6 oz Honey Ginger kombucha

Pinch of basil or sage for a kick

Mix all ingredients together and top with your favourite fresh herbs.

Blackberry Bliss

1 tbsp lime juice

5 blackberries

2 oz vodka

Blackberry Kombucha

Hint of mint

In a glass mix together lime, vodka and blackberries. Crush berries and add blackberry kombucha. Top with a hint of fresh mint.

Lavender Bubbles

Pour over ice and enjoy!
