This Powerful Video Makes Us Think Twice About Food Waste

40% of all food purchased in the U.S. each year goes to waste. This amounts to over $162 billion annually that is quite literally thrown in the trash. With the average family continuosly looking at ways to reduce their grocery bill, it makes you wonder how the amount of food and money being wasted is so high. And what can be done to change this.

This powerful video tells the story of a strawberry that starts its life picked on a farm and ultimately ends up in the garbage. The story of this one strawberry shows just how much work goes into bringing food to someone's table and how disheartening it is to see it all go to waste. But perhaps the power of storytelling in this video will engage people to connect with their food once again and think twice about letting it go to waste.
