Winery Spotlight: Blue Mountain Vineyard & Cellars
In 1971, Jane and Ian Mavety began by growing and supplying their premium grapes to commercial wineries, but the allure of producing their own wines took hold and by 1991 they created their own label. Now Blue Mountain Vineyard and Cellars produces varietal wines from 100% estate-grown grapes including Pinot Blanc, Pinot Gris and Sauvignon Blank that allow the flavours of both the terroir and season to shine through.
Check out some of the highlights of their 2013 season below and find out what kind of bubbly to pair with potato chips on their blog!
Fun fact: A rarity in the area, grape production at Blue Mountain has been handled by one family for 43 years!
