Green Croft Gardens

Green Croft Gardens is a organic farm certified since 1988, located on 35 fertile acres in three parcels bordering the Shuswap River. Green Croft Gardens is a organic farm certified since 1988, located on 35 fertile acres in three parcels bordering the Shuswap River. Back then "organic" and the public's awareness of "local" and environmental issues were far from what it is today. This led us to diversify into livestock, bedding plants, spelt, cut flowers, small fruits and vegetables. By trial and error we reduced our main activities to growing vegetables and small fruits.
A menagerie of animals such as chickens, Icelandic sheep, pigs, cows, a donkey, dogs, cats and horses call this farm their home.
We use their manure for our compost, pig digging power to cultivate the fields and products like wool to supplement a our farm stand.
CSA members and customers enjoy coming out to the farm to buy at the farm gate or bring their children to see the farm animals.

Our Mission Statement is to produce organic vegetables and fruits of highest quality in an ecologically and economically sustainable manner.
To market our high quality food directly to the growing number of customers that care about local and sustainable farming.
To be active in educating about organic local production and to encourage and educate future generations to eat and/or grow organic food and to grow to our highest potential as a farm family.

CSA

This is a subscription style model of buying fresh seasonal produce while making a direct connection with the farm that grows it.

It also reduces waste, as all produce is delivered in a food-grade box rather than being individually packaged. Buy CSA's online here, or if you prefer, by mailing a cheque and your CSA choice to
Green Croft Gardens
Box 248 Grindrod,
BC, V0E 1Y0
Or drop off the cheque to the Farm at
42 Meadowview Road, Grindrod or at our farmers market stand.
